Bud and I spent many "fun" times together. We had many dinners and Bud loved riding in my sportscar!! He said he could actually hear me better whe we were in the sportscar.. ha,ha!! Loved talking to Bud, and when his hearing got really bad, missed it when I could not talk to him on the phone anymore. Will always have fond memories of "Bud"!!

I had the pleasure of spending the past four and a half months with Bud as his aide and friend. Bud and I quickly formed a friendship and special bond. Bud lovingly referred to me as his granddaughter and I thought of him as my grandfather. Bud possessed a unique personality that added to his greatness. He was kind but firm, trusting but cautious, confident but nervous. Bud had a gift for reading people and seeing qualities in them that others overlooked. Bud was always sure to show gratitude to those lucky enough to know him. Each time I was with Bud he was sure to tell me "you're a good person, a super person". He had an uncanny ability to make people feel their individual importance. Bud offered advice and provided comfort. He had an infectious smile that would light up the room. Bud was proud to have served our country in the Navy Armed Guard during WW II. He was very knowledgable and enjoyed sharing his life stories. Bud was proudly providing my children (and myself) with Geography lessons that largely revolved around his years in the Navy. Through his lessons and life stories Bud's legacy will live on through many generations. Bud~ I know you were ready to go, but I wasn't prepared to lose you. I will miss you always and cherish you forever. With love eternal, Lea
