A 1939 Graduate of East high School in Buffalo, Esther Graduated from Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Nursing in 1842. She recieved her batchelors Degree frommUniversity of Buffalo School of Nursing in 1945 and did post graduate education at Ithica College, Fredonia State University and Syracuse university. She had been employed as a Registerd Nurse at Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo General Hospital as a Supervisor and Medical instructor for 5 years, evening supervisor at Wyoming County Hospital for five years , school nurse and teacher at Clymer Central School for a years and retired from Westfield Academy and Central school after 29 years as the School nurse and teacher. She had been a Captain with the 338th General Hospital (A.N.C.) Reserves. Esther had been honored as Westfield Woman of the year in 1972 by the Business and Professional Assoc., and as Co-Teacher of the year with Joe Koshut ealso in 1972. She had volunteered as a Past Officer of the School Nurse Teachers of Chautauqua County Assoc., Past Chairperson of the Salvatin Army Service Unit for Westfield, Chautauqua COunty Hospice Volunteer for 12 years and was a former board member of the Westfield YWCA. Esther was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Society of Westfield where she had been an active member of the Church's Deacons. She enjoyed her firends and outings with the Westfield and mayville Sr. Citizens group and was a life member of the Westfield Fish and game Club. Esther enjoyed traveling, gardening. bowling, photography and golf.
