Connie and family,My deepest sympathy to you and your entire family. I knew Herbie as a great tuba player when we both played tuba in the Deutschmeister Band. It was always a pleasure to be in his company and to listen to him play that old beat up Sousaphone even though he hardly touched it between gigs. He had a marvelous talent, a gentleman always and tons of fun.Our prayers are wiht you and the family.Joe Prezio

Connie you might recognize me as Betty Eggert. My sincere condolences to you. Herbie - as he was known to me - shall be missed. He was a favorite of mine when we played in high school band together under the direction of Bill Ross. His ready smile, sense of humor and acceptance of all - including those of us who had no musical talent was greatly admired and a testament to his character. He was special and one of a kind.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Mr. Herbert D. Schultz. I found great comfort, when my youngest brother died, in reading John chapter 11 in the Bible. Jesus Christ resurrected his friend Lazarus in this account and it is very reassuring. Keep your memories of your loved one alive and share them with others. May you find comfort in this very difficult time.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, cousin and friend. My sympathies go out to you all in your time of sorrow. May your memories of Herb bring you peace and I pray this poem will help you through your time of sorrow. ~~~~~~~~First Christmas in HeavenI see the countless Christmas treesAround the world belowWith tiny lights, like Heaven’s stars,Reflecting on the snow. The sight is so spectacular,Please wipe away the tearFor I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.I hear the many Christmas songs That people hold so dearBut the sounds of music can’t compareWith the Christmas choir up here.I have no words to tell you,The joy their voices bringFor it is beyond description,To hear the angels sing.I know how much you miss me,I see the pain inside your heart. But I am not so far away,We really aren’t apart. So be happy for me, dear ones,You know I hold you near. And be glad I’m spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.I sent you each a special gift,From my heavenly home above.I sent you each a memoryOf my undying love. After all, love is a giftMore precious than pure gold.It was always most importantIn the stories that Jesus told. Please love and keep each other,As our father said to do.For I can’t count the blessingOr the love he has for you.So have a Merry ChristmasAnd wipe away that tear.Remember, I am spending ChristmasWith Jesus Christ this year.
