Donna & FamilyI was very saddened when my parents told me of your loss. While I cannot imagine the sadness this must bring, especially having a 21 year old daughter of my own, or how my mother would feel, I hope for you the comfort of your memories. I must tell you that when my mom said remember Donna Dorman, my thoughts instantanously went back to our time together when Diana & I were just young girls at the lake. I always remember one lesson I learned.......it IS possible to swamp a lake canoe! Please accept our sympathies and we will keep you in our prayers. May she be in a place free from suffering. She will be in my thoughts and memories.Sara

I am so sorry for your loss. I was lucky enough to meet Diana at the restaurant. My mother and father were the original owners of Snug Harbor. They built a boat company there and had the land all the way to the channel. Their names were Aloys and Betty Dombrowski. Diana was glad to hear about my parents and all the things I told her. We were so impressed with the food and the restaurant that we purchased several gift certificates for family and friends who were very pleased with the place. Diand always had a smile on her face and always made you feel like family. We were very blessed to know her even if it was such a short time. Our deepest sympathy. Roberta

She was always known as the "blond bomb shell" everyone you met either knew her or wanted to met her in my book. Di came into my life knowing others in Westifeld. She had a ease to all she met that made you feel like your part of her family. Her "Jimmy" was my first memeory of sharing something that was so "cool' to Di.She thought of that truck like her best friend. Those that knew her back then will relate to this. She took me for a crazy ride at the beach in the winter I will never for-get. The times I spent with her expanded over many years. I consider myeslf so lucky to have known this wonderful soul. She would only have to look at you and she was a breath fo fresh air.She had a way about her that captured your being.Al, I want to thank you for caring for Di and loveing her. She was truley blessed in our world.I will always keep every moment that I share with her in my thoughts. I miss her each minute of the day. May god comfort all of you in this sad time. This message goes out to Dawn, Di's Angel Al, her family and all her friendsIt was such a wonderful gift to have known Di. So sweet, stong and a beautiful person inside and out. I really wish we would have had more time to get to know her even better. We had some great times and wonderful memories out at the cabin with Di, Al, Steve and Dawn. I will always cherish those memories. We weren't able to see Dianna in the end but I asked her best friend and sister Dawn to give Di a hug and tell her that we love her. I know that Dawn was always there alongside of her through everything, thank God Di had Dawn and her Angel Al and of course everone that loved her so much. She will always have a special place in our hearts. May she rest in peace. She'll be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.All our Love,Lori and Art

Dear Donna. Al and MaryEllen, I can't express my deepest smypathy enought to all of you that took such wonderful care of Diana. She was and always will be an inspiation in my life. When Diana walked through the doors of clinic, the whole place just lite up! Her smile, her energy, her courageous attitude just amazed everyone who crossed her path. I, for one, will never forget this special angel. Diana made me a clown and on the the tag, it read " TAKE TIME TO ENJOY THE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE". That will always stay close to my heart, knowing that the last 4 years of Diana's life, were not so simple. But she always had a kind word and the brightest Smile that made everyone smile around her.Al, my heart goes out to you! Diana was so lucky to have you in her life. May you always find peace in knowing that you were and always will be, her best friend! With heartfelt smypathy,Laura Keller Max

Dear Donna and family,We are so sorry to hear about Diana and we grieve with you. When Di visited in Sebring and came to the pool "flaunting" her bald head, little did she know how that attitude inspired me when my own daughter was diagnosed with cancer in December. I passed on comments about Diane's attitude to my daughter and she shared the same feeling that "bald is beautiful" and doesn't give her lack of hair a second thought. We can't imagine anything more painful for a parent than to lose a child, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.Mary & Lou Czubak

To all of Diana's family and dear friends. Diana loved life and was a fighter. She battled so much pain when she became ill, but I never heard her complain. She loved life and fought so hard to stay on this earth, but God must have needed her to be one of his angels. Speaking of angels, she had one of her own. His name is Al. Always there beside her, loving her uncondtionally. Her strength through it all. The months ahead will be VERY difficult, but the strength she had to fight came from the family. So you that loved Diana, weep when you must, but -- this is so important--remember the fun, the laughter, the wonderful things she did, and be glad you were a part of her

My dearest sympathies to Diana’s family and friends. I remember moving to Bear Lake in the fall of 1963 and seeing that little blond girl who lived next door. Her smile was as infectious then as it was throughout her life. Although we were not close through the years there never was a time we met that she didn’t have time the flash that grin and say hello. I am sure that anyone who met her is better off having known her.

There really aren't any words to describe how awestruck I was by Diana's spirit and positive attitude. The first time I saw her after her diagnosis she was so bubbly and positive. I was so sure she was going to be o.k. How could someone with her outlook not win in the end? Alan, you were a true godsend to her and I am so sorry she is gone but am so glad you were there for her. Donna, losing a child is the worst pain there is. I can't tell you how sorry I am.

Donna, Al and family: Words cannot express the sorrow I felt upon hearing of Diana's death. I never met a more compassionate person in my life. She worked hard and loved harder. I loved her smile and cheerfulness even when life was giving her more than a normal person could handle. She accomplished so much in such a short time. The chorus of "On Eagles Wings" is how I will think of her in God's hands. "And I will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of my hand." You are in my prayers, God Bless.

Dear Diana ~ from the first time I met you when I worked at the Portage Inn, I knew that you were something special. You were the most upbeat person to work with and a bit intimidating because you were so sure of yourself. We lost touch, but then spent a New Years Eve together recently discussing all that we knew of Roswell~from Doctors to Lab Techs to Departments. The last time I saw you was last summer during Reunion Weekend and you can out of Tim and Darcy's home...your beautiful smile, bald head and that hat with the hair attached~~how we laughed. Our loss is definitely heavens gain ~~ watch over us Diana. God, you have taken one of the great ones...she was an inspiration and a fighter.Fondly, Ann Rotunda Eckman
