John Friedrich taught me in sixth grade at Fredonia Catholic School. He was a great teacher and a very nice man. I have very fond memories of him, even though he taught us for a short time. He was a rare teacher in that he was not only good at teaching, but he was someone who taught students how to treat each other with kindness, fairness and respect. I hope all of the students who had him as a teacher realize how special he was.

My deepest sympathies to Lexi and Kristina. I have old and fond memories of my oldest cousin - especially at Christmas time when we'd all visit at the Brogan's. John would read The Night Before Christmas...I so looked up to him in my youth. I rejoice in knowing that he is with our Lord - free from the physical handicap that plagued him for so long...knowing that he is singing praises to the King. My the Lord bless you, Lexi and Kristina, as you endure this trial and loss of your husband and father; may He keep His hand upon you and keep you from evil. With love, Mark Friedrich.

I remember Mr. Friedrich from elementary school and as a cheerleading coach. He always has a smile and a laugh for his students and it is a shame he couldn't share his talents for a longer time. But those of who knew him in that capacity will always remember him fondly.
