Obituary of Nina L. Cash

WESTFIELD - Nina L. (Conti) Cash, age 86, of Third Street, Westfield, died Thursday, March 12, 2009 at home. Nina was born on April 30, 1922 at home in Laona, NY, the daughter of the late Ross and Louise (LaDuca) Conti, Sr. Nina was a member of St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church and was active in the St. James Major Altar and Rosary Society. She had been employed as a secretary for the Westfield Schools for 16 years, retiring in 1983. Active in her community, Nina had been a member of the Board of Directors of the Westfield Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Westfield YWCA. However, most of all, she was a wonderful mother, sister and friend. Our Mom & Grandma had a gentle positive approach to life. She came from a strong loving family and she passed that love on to all of us. We will cherish those memories and we carry her in our hearts always....... She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Carl J. Cash, Sr., whom she married on Nov. 29, 1944. Her daughter: Angela L. Bentivegna of York, PA and her two sons: Carl (Suzi) J. Cash, Jr. of Lakewood, OH and Ross (Lisa) F. Cash of Rochester, NY and her 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Nina is further survived by her brothers and sisters that include, Martha Smith, Annette DeCosta, Dorothy Bova, Dr. Louis Conti, Ross Conti, Jr. and Sam Conti, as well as by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother John Conti. Friends may call on Sunday from 4-8 PM at MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY, where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church (formerly St. James Major), 15 Union Street, Westfield with Fr. Marius J. Walter and Fr.
