Obituary of Lois J Harper
Westfield- Lois J. Harper, age 84, of Brewer Place, Westfield, NY, died Saturday evening, October 3,2020 at Absolut Care of Westfield.
Lois was born on April 16,1936 in Johnstown. Pa., the daughter of the late John and Alice (Swank) Rowe. She married Allan L. Harper on January 30,1952, he preceded in death on April 14,2016.
Surviving are three children; a daughter, Brenda (Joseph) Leone of North East, Pa; two sons, Barry (Karen) Harper of Clarence, NY and James Harper of Westfield, NY; seven grandchildren, Derrick, Sean, Dylan, Alison, Andrea, Rachael and Michael; three sisters, Kay Whitley, Phyllis Locastro and Marlene James; three brothers, John, Telford (June) and Gary (Sherry) Rowe.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Allan L. Harper and two sisters, Barbara Murphy and Joanne Clark.
Lois was a resident of Westfield most of her life, she worked as a teachers aide at Westfield Academy and Central School for over thirty years. She enjoyed working with the children and watching them grow up to be adults. Lois was known for her cooking, she took great pride in her creations and used whatever was available in the kitchen to make her dishes. Lois loved going to the casino and gambling She cherished trips to Salamanca and Las Vegas with family and friends. Engelbert Humperdinck was her favorite entertainer.
No calling hours will be observed. All services will be private.
