Obituary of Donald L. Hanes

A Westfield resident since 1980, he had owned and operated the KOA on East Lake Road for many years where he recieved several accolaids for his customer friendly enviroment and meticulously groomed camp ground . He moved here from Lockport where he had been engaged in farming and worked at the same time at National Grinding Wheel in North Tonawanda. He was born and raised in North Tonawanda where he attended High School and entered the US Navy during WW II and returned there to start his family. He enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, ice fishing, hunting and most anything that included being in the outdoors. He was an accomplished carpenter who built houses for his family. He loved to cut grass and tend to his yard and garden. He greatly enjoyed visiting with his many friends at the camp ground in Westfield.He was a dedicated Buffalo Bills Fan.
