Obituary of Ralph Stoia

BARCELONA, NY - Ralph Stoia, age 91 of Westfield, NY, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on September 19, 2019. 

Ralph was preceded in death by Parents, Soloman (Sam) and Sofia Stoia, Brother Nick (Helen) Stoia, and Son Marc (Melanie) Stoia. 

  Ralph was a Loving husband to Loretta Stoia, Loving Father to Rita (Jeff) Eagle, Michael (Gale) Stoia, Step-son Scott Anderson, Loving Grandfather to Joe Gramc (Laura), Jackie Eagle, Bradley Johnson (Kristina), and Paige Johnson, Loving Great-Grandfather to Adiken and Landon. 

  Ralph graduated Alliance High School in Alliance, Ohio on June, 1946.  He proudly served in the U.S. Navy July from 1946-1948 attaining the rank of Storekeeper Third Class and was Awarded a WWII Victory Medal. Ralph was an avid runner and had participated in the Canton Ohio, New York and Boston Marathons. Throughout his running career he had accumulated over 60,000 miles.  In the later years of his life he enjoyed working at the Barcelona Harbor in Westfield, New York. 

  A Memorial Service to celebrate Ralph’s life is to be scheduled at a later date. 

  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmont, Lakewood, NY 14750.
