Obituary of Ed Dibble

Edward H. Dibble, 83, of Westfield, NY passed away Wednesday evening September 4, 2019 at 

Westfield Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Ed was born on September 19,1935 in Westfield, a son of the late E. Carlton and Arlene (Burnett) Dibble.

He graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School as a member of the Class of 1954. He enlisted in the United States Navy with his

buddies serving from 1958 until he was honorably discharged on July 26,1962. Ed worked as an

electrician for GE in Erie, Pa. for over 24 years.

He met his wife, the former Dorothy Farnham at a New Years Eve party and they were married on

September 19,1959 in Hartfield, NY.

Ed enjoyed reading, watching Star Trek movies and tracking money on the computer; Where’s George?

Survivors include his wife of 59 years Dorothy Dibble; a daughter, Linda Gens of Westfield; two sons,

Daniel and Scott (Cathy) both of Westfield; three grandchildren, Alex Dibble, Nicole and Nathan Gens;

four brothers, Roger, Gary (Debi) and Larry Dibble all of Westfield and Thomas Dibble of Amherst, NY. 

Ed will be dearly missed by family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Aunt Marion Burnett.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday morning, Sept. 14, 2019 at 11AM at the First Baptist Church of Westfield, 19 Union St., Westfield, NY with Pastor Matt Wolfe officiating. Burial will be private.
