Obituary of Ernest E. Reardon

WESTFIELD - Ernest E. "Bompa" Reardon, age 77, of  N. Portage St., Westfield, passed away unexpectedly, on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at home in Westfield.

Ernest was born on June 23, 1942, in Westfield, the son of the late Leon and Althea (Miller) Reardon.

He attended Westfield High School and had been employed by the former Westfield Disposal in various capacities before retiring in 1991. Ernie liked tinkering with anything mechanical and was “a car guy” who also enjoyed fishing and vegetable gardening.  However, above all else, "Bompa" cherished the time spent with his family

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda (Kramer) Reardon, and their children, Ernest E. Reardon, Jr. of Painesville, OH, William L. Reardon, Everett (Carol) Reardon and Todd L. Reardon all of Westfield and Denise (William) Nelson of Mentor, OH, and Brenda L. Rathmell of Mentor, OH.  Ernest is further survived by his brothers, L. Dennis Reardon of Westfield, George J. Reardon of Newark, NY and by his sister, Grace L. Lancaster also of Westfield. Many grandchildren, several great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews also survive.              

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Carl Reardon, and by his sisters, Shirley A. Reardon, Katherine M. Reardon, infant Isabel Reardon, and by his brother William Reardon.

At Ernie's request there will be no visitation and all services will be private.
