WESTFIELD - E. Jean (Barger) Say, age 69, of Beckman Ave., Westfield, formerly of Clarion and Erie, PA, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019, at home with her family by her side following a courageous battle with Cancer.

Jean was born on August 26, 1949, in Butler, PA, the daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Keefer) Barger.  She graduated from High School in Knox, PA and married the love of her life, James Say on September 1, 1970; they had resided in Clarion, PA and Erie, PA prior to coming to Westfield more than 43 years ago.

Jean had been employed by Westfield Academy and Central School in the Cafeteria and in the Kitchen of the Absolut Care of Westfield.  She had also been employed by Belknap Business Forms at both the Westfield and Mayville plants in the custodial department.  Jean was the “neighborhood Mom” who enjoyed babysitting many of the children in her neighborhood. She had also been an active supporter of the Westfield Firemen’s Exempt Association and had assisted with the Catering at the Exempt Hall and had also spent several years as the bingo hall custodian. Upon her retirement Jean enjoyed volunteering her time and talent for the Westfield Community Kitchen.  She enjoyed art and coloring, crossword puzzles and doing macramé. Above all else, Jean loved being with her family.  She was a loving wife, devoted mother and very proud grandmother!

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, James L. Say, and their 2 sons Gary (Tabitha) Say of Mayville and Brian Say of Westfield. She is further survived by her 2 wonderful grandchildren, Connor and Mackenzie Say of Mayville and by her sister, Bonnie Bunnell of Butler, PA.

Friends may call from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield, NY and are invited to attend the Funeral Service there at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 with Rev. Carmen Perry and Rev. Andy Frudd officiating.
