Obituary of Beverly A. Jones

WESTFIELD - Beverly A. (Gilbert) Jones, 65, of  Bourne St., Westfield, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital of  Erie, PA, following a brief illness.

   Beverly was born on December 23, 1953, in Westfield, New York, the daughter of the late Lovis and Carolyn (Kelsey) Gilbert, Jr.

   She attended the West Portland Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, baking, playing Bingo and crocheting. Beverly was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who always knew how to make things better.

  Survivors include her husband of 47 years, James L. Jones, her son, Bryan A. Jones, of Westfield, her  4  Daughters, Brenda K. (Bill Brown) Foster of Westfield, Jennifer F. (Roger) Gariepy of Westfield, Belynda A. (James) Tolbert of Ripley, NY and Wanda M. (Patrick) Elder also of Ripley. She is further survived by her 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as her 2 brothers, James (Teresa) Gilbert and Lovis Gilbert, III both of SC, and by her 2 sisters, Linda (Ralph) Gaszynski of Fredonia and Sandra (late Danny) Tucker of Westfield. Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Lois Jones of Westfield and her brother-in-law Paul (late Bonnie) Kelley of Stockton, NY.

  In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her son, James G. Jones, her granddaughter Kayla Tolbert, and by her sisters, Brenda Gilbert and Bonnie Kelley.
  Friends may call from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 East Rt. 20, Westfield, NY, where the Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon following visitation, with Rev. Charles Robertson officiating.  Burial will be private in Westfield Cemetery.
