Obituary of Angelo Gonzalez

WESTFIELD - Angelo Gonzalez, 81, of Clark St., Westfield, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital of Erie, PA following an extended illness.

   Angelo was born on December 5, 1937, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Agapito and Josefa (Heredia) Gonzalez.

   He had been employed by Westfield Nursery as a landscaper prior to his illness. Angelo attended the United Methodist Church of Westfield for many years.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan and loved watching WWE, where his favorite wrestler was "The Undertaker".  He took great pride in his property and his garden. Angelo was a devoted husband and loving father who cherished his children and grandchildren.  He was a gentle soul who enjoyed his life.

   Survivors include his wife, Guadalupe "Wally" Gonzalez, and his 3 sons; Angelo Gonzalez, Jr. of Buffalo, George Gonzalez of Gaithersburg, MD and John (Baby) Gonzalez of Bradford, PA, and his step-daughter Evelyn Rivera of Westfield.  Many grandchildren also survive as well as many brothers and sisters that locally include, William Gonzalez of Westfield.
 

Friends may call from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. in Westfield.

  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the United Methodist Church of Westfield, 101 E. Main St., Westfield, NY, with Rev. Violet A. Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery.
