Obituary of Frances L. Mutch

WESTFIELD - Frances L. (Riscili) Mutch, age 89, of Westfield, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA. following a brief illness. Frances was born on May 6, 1928 in Westfield, NY, the only child of the late Joseph S. and Grace Mary (Scalia) Riscili. She married her husband of almost 51 years, Charles J. Mutch on July 27, 1946 at St. James RC Church of Westfield and together they made a home and raised 7 children. Charles preceded her in death on July 15, 1997. Frances was a homemaker who loved to play BINGO and she enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets for her entire family. She was an avid fan of Shirley Temple and liked watching MASH and listening to Big Band Music. She loved to bake and made Italian style cookies for all of her children's weddings, family holidays and special occasions. She made the best homemade bread. Spending time with family and friends meant the world to her, especially spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Most recently, she enjoyed spending her days supported by her friend Gloria Kinney, for whom her family is grateful.. Frances was a member of St. Dominic RC Church and a life member of the Parish Altar and Rosary Society. Survivors include her three daughters: Sally (Richard) Woiwode of Yemassee, SC, Jan (late Brian) Edwards of Fairport, NY and Lisa (Michael) VandeVelde of Westfield, NY, and by her four sons: Charles (Reeva Layton ) R. Mutch of Atoka, OK, Joseph (Kay Kyles ) Mutch of Tulsa, OK, Timothy (Laura Geraci) Mutch of Dunkirk, NY and Michael (Robbin Catalano ) Mutch of Westfield, NY. She is further survived by her 25 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. Friends may call at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at St. Dominic's RC Church, 15 Union Street, Westfield, NY with Father Romeo Hontiveros officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. A Rosary Service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home by the St. Dominic Parish Altar and Rosary Society.
