Obituary of Maybelle Beers

WESTFIELD – Maybelle (Stephens) Beers, age 95, of Washington St., Westfield, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Westfield Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. Maybelle was born on April 13, 1922 in Bakerton, PA, the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Stephens. She married Edward S. Beers on July 27, 1940 in Kittanning, PA. Mr. Beers preceded her in death on May 17, 1993. Maybelle had been a resident of Westfield for the past 63 years having moved here from Kittanning, PA. She was an Avid bingo player and enjoyed traveling anywhere you wanted to go; especially to Branson, MO with her daughter. She also enjoyed dining out and spending time with her family. Maybelle could often be seen sitting on her front porch with her late husband, Ed, on almost any evening. She is survived by two daughters: Charmain (Norman) Boardman of Westfield, NY and Debbie Beers of Westfield, NY, and two sons: Fred A. (Margaret) Beers of North East, PA and S. David "Crow" (June) Beers of Westfield, NY. She was the proud grandmother of, Ernie, Fred, Rebecca, Jason, Jay, Jesse, Scott and Shannon. She is further survived by her 16 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Maybelle was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Arthur and Raymond Stephens, as well as her sister, Lena Slagle. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield, NY and are invited to attend the funeral service there at 11:00 am on Friday, January 12, 2018 with Rev.
