For years she accompanied and sang in her group, The Ambassadors, performing free concerts in nursing homes throughout Western New York. She was the pianist for the Sunday morning worship service at Absolut of Westfield. Her faith was unswerving and she was proud of the accomplishments of her Lydia Circle of friends. Doris was ready for her heavenly home.
She retired from SUNY Geneseo as a Custodian. Prior to that she was an aide for NY State, and worked as an operator for Rochester Telephone for 18 years before they went to dial phones.
