Obituary of Norma L. Witmer

WESTFIELD - Norma L. (Hill) Witmer, age 84, of Westfield, died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at home in Westfield following a brief illness. Norma was born on March 6, 1932 in Montgomery, PA, a daughter of the late Alem and Frances (Hoff) Hill. She married Robert R. Witmer on November 18, 1966; he preceded her in death on November 26, 2011. Norma had resided in the Montgomery, PA area for most of her life and moved to Brocton, NY where she and her late husband resided from 1971 until 1995 when they moved to Westfield. She had been dedicated home maker and "Mom". She was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles and enjoyed gardening. However, her greatest love and joy was her family; her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters: Kiona (Kevin) Callahan of Westfield, NY and Linda (Bobby) Renock of Evansville, IN, and four sons: Eugene (Rose) Witmer of Statesville, NC, David Witmer of Evansville, IN, Michael Witmer of Altoona, PA and Mark (Amy) Witmer of WA. She is further survived by her many Grandchildren, her several Great Grandchildren, as well as her sister Melissa Smith of York, PA. Besides her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her, Son, Robert Witmer, her Grandson, Kevin Callahan, Jr., her Sister, Mary Jane Grove, and her 3 brothers, Paul Tanner, Wesley Tanner, and Charles Hill and her Daughter-In-Law, Betty Witmer. Friends may call at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY, on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 12 Noon until the time of Services there at 2 PM with Rev.
