My sympathies to the entire Schermerhorn family. I just learned about Jim's passing from another retired NYSP member. Jim was a great guy and a very good Trooper. I could always depend on him to handle any assignment I gave him in the best way possible while I was station commander at Fredonia. I always considered Jim a friend not just a coworker. He will be missed by all.
