Obituary of Peggy S. Olofsson

WESTFIELD - Peggy S. (Schrader) Olofsson, age 89, of Oak St., Westfield, died Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Absolut Care of Westfield. Peggy was born on November 26, 1925 in Westfield, NY, the daughter of the late George A. and Loucelia (House) Schrader. A Westfield resident most all her life, Peggy was a graduate of Westfield Academy and had worked for several years for the former Flynt and Kent Clothing Store in Buffalo and returned to Westfield and became the Secretary to the President of Welch foods for many years. She eventually retired and enjoyed her years at home as a wife, mother and homemaker. Peggy was an avid reader of mystery novels and she loved to knit. She is survived by her son: Kevin G. Olofsson, and her daughter Carole A. Olofsson both of Westfield, NY, and by her Step Son, Robert Olofsson of North Carolina. She is further survived 4 Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Olofsson, who died in 1986 and by her brother, William A. Schrader. Friends may call at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 12 noon until the time of Funeral Services there at 1 PM with Rev.
