Obituary of M. Cochran

WESTFIELD - M. Clebert Cochran, age 72, of East Lake Rd., Westfield, NY, died Friday, July 3, 2015 at Westfield Memorial Hospital of Westfield, NY. Clebert was born on August 1, 1942 in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Albert L and Dorothy (Walker) Cochran. Raised in Westfield by his grandparents David and Elva Cochran, Clebert had been employed for many years by Westfield Schools as the Transportation Supervisor in the bus garage. He was trained as a professional auto and diesel mechanic and had worked at various garages until he joined the school. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, ride 4 wheelers and go camping. Clebert was a fan of NASCAR and followed Bill and Chase Elliott as well as Casey Kahne. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 118 and a Life member of the Westfield Fish and Game Club. Clebert enjoyed many things in his life; however, his family was everything to him and the sparkle in his smile. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice E.(Conti) Cochran , whom he married on April 17, 1971 in Westfield and by his one daughter: Karen (Steve) Freeman of Westfield, NY and two sons: Steven (Sherri) Cochran of Bangor, ME, and Dean (Heather) Cochran also of Westfield. Clebert is further survived by his 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter as well as by his sister, Susan Franklin and his brother, David (Ann) Cochran all of Westfield. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Cochran. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY, and are invited to attend the Funeral Services to be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 West Main Road, Westfield, NY with Rev.
