Obituary of JoAnne S DuBois

WESTFIELD - JoAnne S. (Sikorski) DuBois, age 60, of Parker Rd., Westfield, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at St. Vincent Health Center of Erie, PA, following a brief illness. JoAnne was born on March 15, 1955 in Hartford, CT, the daughter of the late Steven and Jeanne (Lavigne) Sikorski. She married Dale A. DuBois on July 11, 1987 in Connecticut. A Westfield resident for the past 21 years, she moved here with her family from Ellington, Ct. She was a graduate of Simsbury High School in Ct. and became a NYS Professional LPN and had worked at the former Westfield Health Care Facility, the Waters of Westfield and retired from the Absolut Care of Westfield SNF. Prior to that she had been a licensed Insurance agent in Connecticut. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing, cross stitching, flowers and floral arranging, crafts of all kinds. She loved her family. Her grandchildren put the "sparkle in her eye". She is survived by her husband: Dale A. DuBois , one daughter: Suzannah Y. DuBois of Westfield, NY and three sons: Joseph Haney and Michael P. Haney both of Connecticut, and J. Matthew Haney of Erie, PA; She is further survived by her one sister: Yvonne Caruso of CT and seven brothers: Steven and Roland Sikorski, both of, OK, Edward Sikorski, Henry Sikorski , and John Sikorski all of CT, and Paul Sikorski of MD and Ted Sikorski of NC. JoAnne was the proud grandmother of, Lilyana & Mikayla Rowlands of Broadbrook, CT, Janna and Jeremiah Haney of Erie, PA and Lucien DuBois of Westfield, NY. No calling hours will be observed. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY with Rev. Virginia Carr officiating.
