Obituary of Gladys Steinhoff

RIPLEY - Gladys K. (Goodwill) Steinhoff, age 87, of Ripley, NY, died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Corry Manor Nursing Home of Corry, PA. Gladys was born on March 3, 1928 in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late Jason Orlando and Elta Rosella (Parkhurst) Goodwill. Gladys attended the First Presbyterian Church of Ripley. She enjoyed raising her family and being a homemaker. When she was younger, she had worked on the Bentley Grape farms. Gladys loved flowers and working in her garden. Gladys is survived by her two daughters: Sandra M. Waters of Ripley, NY, and Yvonne "Bonnie" M. (Kimmy) Brown of Wattsburg, PA. She is further survived by her 6 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, as well as by her sister, Marion Hasson. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Robert Steinhoff whom she married on August 19, 1949 in Wattsburg, PA, and who died in 2005, as well as by her Step-father, Wesley King, her 2 sisters Marjorie Mineo and Dorothy Goodwill Cooper, and by her brother, Wesley "Bud" King, Friends may call on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY from 12 noon until the time of services there at 2 PM with Pastor Phillip Johnson officiating. Private burial will be in East Ripley Cemetery.
