Obituary of Donna Jean Leamer

PANAMA - Donna J. (Duryea) Leamer, age 75, of Panama, NY, formerly of Westfield and North Clymer, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at St. Vincent Health Center , Erie, PA following a brief illness. Donna was born on July 25, 1939 in Westfield, NY, the daughter of the late Guy O. and Isabelle Mae (Schroeder) Duryea. She was a 1957 Graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School and had been employed by the former Barmon Bros. Sewing Factory in Westfield as a Seamstress. Donna enjoyed working with her husband on the family farm and helping out any way she could. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and of course, sewing. She had been an assistant Girl Scout Leader for several years. Donna had been the WACS Drum Majorette while in school, and also had marched with the former Grapettes (Drummers and Twirlers) in area parades and events. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronald R. Leamer, whom she married on June 1, 1958 in Westfield and by her two daughters, Sandra Irish of North East, PA, and Darlene (Paul) Fuller of Ashville, NY, as well as by her two sons: Gary Leamer of Clymer, NY, Ronald Leamer, Jr. of N. Clymer, NY. Donna was the proud grandmother of, Yvonne (Marlin) Guest of Columbia, MO, Mikayla, Angeleaha and Sharayah Fuller all of Ashville, and proud great grandmother of Imoen and Liam Guest of Columbia, MO. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, David and Kenneth Duryea. At Donna's request, all services will be private. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Westfield, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm at Carlton Sts., Buffalo, NY 14263.
