Obituary of Carrie J. Trippy

WESTFIELD - Carrie J. (Gervasi) Trippy, age 97, of Jefferson St., Westfield, died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at The Lutheran Home of Jamestown, NY.
Carrie was born on April 14, 1917 in Batavia, NY, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (June) Gervasi.
A Westfield resident all her life, Carrie was a faithful member of St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church of Westfield and a life member of the Church's Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a Life member of the John W. Rogers Post 327 American Legion Auxiliary, also in Westfield. Carrie was a fabulous cook, who was known for her cookies and her famous Pizza. She kept an immaculate home, and was an accomplished seamstress. Carries family was everything to her; she was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her two daughters: Natalie (Gary) Jasper of Erie, PA, and Karen (Thomas) Gullotti of Jamestown, NY. Carrie is also survived by her four grandchildren, Karen (Robert) Cross of Kennedy, NY, Anne Gullotti of Plantsville, CT, William (Susan) Gullotti of Celeron, NY; James Jasper of Erie, PA; and her Great Grandchildren, Matthew Gullotti of Kennedy, NY, and Hannah, Alexis and Lydia Cross all of Kennedy, NY. She is further survived by her sister, Julia Gervasi of Batavia, NY, and her brother, Angelo Gervasi of Westfield, NY
She was preceded in death by her Husband of 62 years, Anthony J. Trippy, whom she married on January 20, 1945 in Westfield and who died on February 23, 2007, and by her sister, Eleanor Ressler, her two brothers, Samuel and Joseph Gervasi, and by an infant sister.
Friends may call on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY, and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 15 Union St., Westfield, with Fr. Mark Wolski officiating. Private burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
A Parish Rosary Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday afternoon at 4:15 PM.
