I really miss my uncle Howard and the wonderful full family reunions we had when all the brothers were alive and when grandma and grandpa were alive also. I just found this on the web as I was updating some information on his grandson Phillip on the web about him finally receiving the awards he earned serving this great nation and his own untimely passing. My father (Howard's brother Gerald) passed away in Feb. 2009 at the age of 86 (one month shy of 87), as well as my brother (Gerald Jr. in July 2009 at age 53). My mom passed away a month ago (August 7, 2016) at the age of 83. So now, I am the only one left on this side. I love my Freligh family and I wish I could spend more time with each of them, but I want all of you to know that I loved Uncle Howard very very much and am proud to carry on the firefighter tradition in this family (following Uncle Howard's lead) by being a volunteer firefighter also in my own small town here in Arkansas. God bless each of you and God rest Uncle Howard's soul. I am thankful that he is in heaven with Gma/Gpa/Uncle Bob/Uncle Dick/my dad/my brother/Bob Freligh Jr/Phillip Freligh/and now of course my mom. I'm sure they are having a wonderful reunion and I miss all of them.

I have many fond memories of you dad. One thing that I will always remember is your humor. You seem to find something funny in almost everything, a trait that was carried on by your grandson, Phillip. I will not say goodbye to you dad, but I WILL SEE YOU LATER. You are the last of the FRELIGH BOYS and now it is up to the FRELIGH sons to carry on. I can only hope and pray that we continue a tradition that was started by our grandfather, your dad, carried on through you and the boys, and now rests on our shoulders. I love you dad and you will never be forgotten.
