I had just realized over the Christmas holiday that he had passed away.. I am truly sorry, and we will dearly miss him. I always contacted him over the Christmas holiday, and this time we had not been in contact. I found out he had passed over back in April, and I will dearly miss my true friend. I pay due respect to this family, and my love to his family. He was one of my really true friends, and I always loved him and will still love him as my own brother. He had a great life to live, and he will be dearly missed. Love, Bob Tennant. (501)- 516-0037

Dear Dan, I am so sorry for for the loss of your brother Reed. Since returning to the local area over 20 years ago, Reed under took the mission of keeping the senior citizens of Chautauqua County well informed on issues of importance to them. He also used his public persona to champion senior causes to those in a position to affect change. He will most certainly be missed. God bless you and your family as you grieve.

I fondly remember Reed with a friendship that started in 1957. After a party at my home in Westfield, Reed stayed and helped move the furniture back in place and vacuumed. Imagine. He certainly made an impression on my mom, Gertrude Eggert. His other visits to our home were as a member of the fire department's emergency crew. Mom always smiled warmly when she saw Reed and he was always reassuring, kind and gentle. What a man and someone I want to remember as a friend. My deepest sympathies to his wife, children and grandchildren.

Reed always impressed me with his sense of humor. He could be sarcastic and funny at the same time. I was honored to be a guest on his show several times, and each time it was a joy just to sit at the table next to him and listen to his great stories and contagious laughter. He will certainly be missed by me and so many others in Chautauqua county. God speed Reed, you were a man true to himself and those around you, I am lucky to have known you.

We have all lost a dear, compassionate brave soul. During Reed's years with Chan 5, he in effect turned the Saturday morning program into a public forum, a place where a lot of different viewpoints were presented and debated. His public service made our community a better place with a touch of Irish magic thrown in. We are so thankful to have known Reed and send our love and embraces to his family and friends.
