Obituary of Victor Anderson SR

LAKEWOOD - Victor L. ?Bud? Anderson, Jr., age 89, of 2nd Avenue, Lakewood died Friday, August 10, 2007 at home. Mr. Anderson was born on December 4, 1917 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late Victor L.and Margaret Maude (Lundgren) Anderson. He was a graduate of Celeron High School. Mr. Anderson worked in California during WW II as a civilian Machinist, machining parts for the famous B-25 Mitchell Bombers. He retired from Premium Tool & Die, of Jamestown as a Class A Mold Maker in 1982. Bud was a member of the Independent Order of Vikings # 65, the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, the Jamestown Moose Club, and the Chautauqua Lake Walleye Assoc., Bud was a member of the Jamestown Ski Club and a member of the national 70+ Ski Club, where all members must be active skiers age 70 or more. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and skiing. He is survived by his daughter: Rebecca J. Anderson of Lancaster, NY and his son: Victor L. Anderson, III and his wife Jane of Jamestown, NY. He is further survived by his two granddaughters, Annika and Linnea Anderson both of Jamestown, NY; his caregiver, Lynn Lozaw of Lakewood, and his aunt, Alfhilda ? Aunt Al? Merritt of Delmar, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Spelling Anderson whom he married on July 8, 1947 and who died on February 21, 1998, as well as by his brother, Fred E. Anderson, and his sister, Helen M. Stoeltzlen. At Bud?s request, no calling hours will be observed and memorial services will be held at the convenience of his family with private burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
