Obituary of Edward W. LeBarron

WESTFIELD - Edward W. LeBarron, Sr., age 75, of Spring Street, Westfield, died peacefully Friday, December 27, 2013 at Absolut Care of Westfield with his loving family by his side. Edward was born July 3, 1938 in Dunkirk, NY, the son of the late Howard and Ruth (Hart) LeBarron. After graduating from high school, Ed went on to college and earned his Associates degree in Business Management. He married Margaret "Peggy" Chapman on May 11, 1958 in North Tonawanda and together they raised five children. Margaret preceded him in death on June 27, 1972. He began working for A. Sam and Sons and then went on to managed several stores in the area, including ACME grocery stores, Loblaw's and Jubilee stores retiring in 1991. Ed loved watching football and basketball games, and was one of the founders of and coached the Westfield Golden Hawk midget football program for many years. He was an avid card player specializing in poker. He loved socializing with his family of friends at the Springwood Apartments where he lived for over 15 years, but most of all, his children and their families were very special and dear to his heart. Mr. LeBarron was a member of the United Methodist Church Of Westfield and the Loyal Order Of Moose also of Westfield. He is survived by two daughters: Deborah A. Sissem of Brocton, NY, Lori (Rick) J. Schroen of Portland, NY and three sons: Edward (Deb) LeBarron ,Jr. of Westfield, NY, David E. LeBarron of Brocton, NY, Steven H. LeBarron of Forestville, NY, and his ten grandchildren that include; Megan ,Lianna and Kristyn LeBarron, Emily, Elizabeth and Andrew Sissem, Shawntai and Dylan LeBarron, and Richard and Adam Schroen. he is also survived by his Great granddaughter, Annalise Bundy. Besides his wife Peggy, he was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Palmatier. Friends may call on Monday, December 30,2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the MASON Funeral Home, with Rev. Matthew Golibersuch officiating. Burial will be private at the Westfield Cemetery.
