Obituary of Daniel Richard Sanderson

WESTFIELD - Daniel R. Sanderson, age 69 of Elm St., Westfield died Wednesday morning, October 3, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland OH, following a courageous four year battle with cancer. Dan was born on October 17, 1942 in Westfield, NY a son of the late Russell and Conchetta (Sarah) Condello Sanderson. Dan, also know and "Carbon" or "Carb" by his longtime high school friends, was a lifelong Westfield resident and a graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School. He had been employed in the offices of the former Ajax Flexible Couplings, the former LaPorte Chevrolet, the former Pagano's Plumbing, and Westfield Homes. He had also been an Associate with the MASON Funeral Home. Active in his community, Dan was a former member of the Fire Department of Westfield Cascade Hose Company and was a current member of the Firemen's Exempt Association and the Loyal Order of Moose # 118. e enjoyed golf and played in the retiree's travel golf league. Dan was an accomplished bowler having rolled a 300 game and a 700 series and was a member of the PBA. Dan was a devoted member of the Lakeshore Assembly of God, where he was active in many church activities and served as a Deacon.
