Obituary of Rachael Shear

Rachael E (Tenhuisen) Shear, age 91, passed away peacefully at Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care in Bradenton Fl. on June 13, 2012. She was born August 29, 1920 in Fredonia, NY, daughter of Lester and Mae Morse. Formerly of Sherman, New York, she moved to Florida in 1969 where she became a Certified Nurses' Aide. In her later years she made her home with her daughter Linda Grahman Pettit in Bradenton, FL. She was a member of the New Life Church of Bradenton, FL. She was survived by daughters Catherine Bemis of Bradenton, Fl., Peggy (Art) Amidon, of Portland, NY, Linda Graham (Jerry) Pettit of Bradenton, Fl and Melvia (Richard) Mellors, of Ripley, NY. She was the proud grandmother of; Christine Bemis, Tracy Blakeslee, Trina Boise , Tammy Austin, Troy Bemis, April Shreve , Brenda Rizzo, Greg Amidon , David Rossler Wayne Rossler , Janice Sorenson, Paula Nufher , Michele Kurtich , George Kurtich and Kristie Parnell. Many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, Step grandchildren and Step great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Mae Louise Tenhuisen in 1945, her three brothers; Melvin Morse, Calvin Morse and Barney Lewis, her three sisters, Marjorie Jackson, Mildred Morse and Lucile Fisher, as well as by her husbands: Melvin Tenhuisen, Donald Stapleton, Charles Shear and by her grandsons Brian and Timothy Bemis. A Memorial Service will be held at the New Life Church in Bradenton FL, at a later date. The MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield assisted her family with local arrangements.
