Obituary of Ronald Bishop JR

WESTFIELD - Ronald Cameron Bishop, Jr., age 74, of Rt. 20, Westfield, NY, died Saturday morning, April 14, 2012 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. Ron was born on June 18, 1937 in South Orange, NJ, the son of the late Ronald C. and Virginia (Pierson) Bishop, Sr. A Westfield resident since 1987, Ron and his wife Emma moved here from Maplewood, NJ where they raised their family. Ron had been the curator of Radio City Music Hall's Grand Organ and was CEO of his own Pipe Organ maintenance business for more than 40 years. He had also been a Sales Representative for the Schantz Organ Company since 1987 and was the Co-Owner of Center Stage Dance Studio in Westfield, NY. Ron had been an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and Society of Westfield and served as a Church Elder. He was a Train enthusiast who loved music. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Emma E.(Stiffler) Bishop, whom he married on September 3, 1960 in Cherry Tree, PA, his two sons, Ronald Bishop and his wife Sheila of Hockessin, DE, and Richard Bishop and his wife Ronnie of Wallsberg, UT. Ron was also the proud grandfather of Neil Bishop of Hockessin, DE and Sophia Rose Bishop of Wallsberg, UT. At Ron's request, all services will be private with Rev. Stephen Morse officiating.
