Obituary of Virginia M. Riedesel

WESTFIELD - Virginia M. (Haskin) Riedesel, age 83, of Eustis, Florida, formerly of Brocton and Westfield, NY, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Florida Hospital-Waterman, Tavares, Florida. Virginia was born on January 28, 1928 in Maple Springs, NY, the daughter of the late Warren and Bernice (Smith) Haskin. A Westfield and Brocton resident most all her life, she had resided in Eustace Florida since 2008. Virginia had been employed by the Chautauqua County Home as a Nurse's Aide and later did private duty nursing. She had also been employed at Welch Foods in the processing Dept. Virginia enjoyed flowers, loved her miniature Dashound dog, Ashley, and "tri-chem" painting. However, her main love was for her family. She is survived by her two sons: Paul Riedesel of Canandaigua, NY, and Rick Riedesel of Eustis, FL. She is further survived by her six sisters: Martha Sherman, Patricia Cochran, Phyllis Genthner and Judy Hoffman all of Westfield, NY, OnaLee Baker of NM, Donna Carter of Corry, PA, and her two brothers, Larry Haskin of Utica, NY, and Howard Haskin of Westfield, NY. 10 Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Riedesel, who died in 1991, her daughter, Susan Lynn Riedesel, who died in 2005 and by her two sons John and Daniel Riedesel, who both died in 2011. Friends may call at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield, NY on Monday, January 16, 2012 from 12 noon until the time of services there at 2 PM with Rev. Gary Nutt officiating. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery.
