Obituary of Bonnie L. King

WESTFIELD - Bonnie L. King, age 60, of North Portage Street, Westfield, died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, following a brief illness. Bonnie was born on September 1, 1951 in Westfield, NY, the daughter of Lawrence M. and Grace (Beck) Perry. A Westfield resident all her life, she was a 1970 graduate of Westfield Academy and Central Schools. She had worked at the Main Diner in Westfield while her mother was the owner. Bonnie had also worked as a waitress at the Westfield Moose Club. She had been employed as a bus driver for WACS for many years and also ran a Children's Day Care business in her home. Bonnie enjoyed working with Plastic Canvas and was an avid reader. She was an Elvis fan. However, her family was everything to her; Bonnie took care of her mother, her children, nieces, nephews and all of her family. Christmas was her favorite holiday and her home was decorated from front to back. She was a member of the West Portland Baptist Church where she was very active in Church activities. She had also been a member of the Women of the Moose of Westfield. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Dale R. King, whom she married on August 11, 1978 in Westfield, her daughter, Megan (Chris) Flanders of Westfield, NY and her son, Michael (Jennifer Winder) King of Stockton, NY, her grandchildren, Brenden Winder, Daniel and Raylee Flanders, her brother Kevin (Cindy) W. Perry of Jamestown, NY as well as her niece, Amber Renae (Scott Lewis) Perry and her nephew, Kevin Eric Perry. She was preceded in death by her mother Grace (Beck) "Granny" Perry on Nov. 3, 2007. Friends may call on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 4 PM until 7 PM at The MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY. The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at the West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 West Main Road, Westfield, with Rev. Ryan Grafton officiating. Burial will be private.
