Obituary of Helen S. Rothwell

A Fredonia resident for the past 27 years, she was a 1943 graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School and had been employed by the Chautauqua County Dept. of Health for 25 years as one of the County's first Certified Home Health Aides retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Laona United Methodist Church and had been active in several church activities including the United Methodist Women's Assoc. of which she was Secretary. Helen had been a 4-H leader and had been a 4-H Judge at the County Fair in the sewing and baking competitions. An accomplished seamstress, Helen could and did, sew everything from Barbie cloths to Wedding dresses. She enjoyed photography, flower gardening, bird watching and her cats. She enjoyed artistic water color painting and exhibited her works at several area shows.
