Obituary of Robert C. Scriven

WESTFIELD - Robert C. Scriven, age 64, of Munson Road, Westfield died Friday, July 1, 2011 at Westfield Memorial Hospital. Robert was born on May 31, 1947 in Westfield, NY a son of the late Charles and Phyllis (Bingham) Scriven. A Westfield resident most all his life, Bob and Linda had lived in Erie and Fairview, PA before coming home to Westfield in 1980. Robert had been employed by United Refining Co. as a Service Representative, then he formed his own company, Bond and Scriven Heating and Cooling in Erie, PA. He retired as a Sales Representative for Engineered Air of Buffalo, Commercial and Industrial HVAC in 2010. Robert's family was the love of his life. His grandchildren were everything to him. He was a Buffalo Bills fan and had enjoyed fishing. He was a member of The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 118 of Westfield and The Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Robert attended St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Parish in Westfield. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda (Kawski) Scriven, his two sons, Brian R. Scriven of Westfield and Shaun E. Scriven of Fredonia, NY, his two granddaughters, Isabella Scriven of Westfield and Caylin Scriven of Stockton, NY. He is further survived by his two brothers, James Scriven of Bemus Point, NY and Richard Scriven of Westfield. No calling hours will be observed. Funeral services will be private with Father Marius J. Walter officiating. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery.
