Obituary of Eric L. Timmerman

RIPLEY, NY - Eric L. "Rick" Timmerman, age 48, of North State St., Ripley, NY died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Rick was born on March 12, 1963 in Westfield, NY a son of the late Albert Luther and Mary Elizabeth (Teemley) Timmerman. A Ripley resident all his life, he was a graduate of Ripley High School and entered the US Army, where he served from 1981 until 1985. He was employed by Mogen David Corporation for more than 25 years in all phases of production. Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, astronomy and Backgammon. He was an avid baseball fan and had coached little league and was a passionate Cleveland Indians fan. He was a huge history buff and had planned a trip to Peru this August to learn about the history of the Ancient Inca Ruins. He is survived by his wife: Tammy L. (Culver) Timmerman, whom he married on April 26, 2003 in Westfield, his daughter: Veronica Timmerman of Ripley, NY, his step-children; Timothy (Jennifer) L. Skelly, II of Westfield, Luke Skelly of Ripley, Breana (George) Phillips of Stockton, NY, Stephanie Wensel of Michigan, his five Grandchildren, Alex and Zachary Michels and Mackenzie Skelly all of Westfield, and Trent and Lillian Phillips of Stockton, NY. He is further survived by his sister: Mary Beth (Daniel) Scriven of Ripley, NY and his three brothers: Albert "Tom" (Georgiana) Timmerman of Westfield, NY, Daniel Timmerman of Fredonia, NY, and Billy Timmerman of Jamestown, NY. Rick is also survived by his Step-mother, Mildred Timmerman of Ripley. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his Step-son, Jacob Skelly. Friends may call on Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY, where Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon with Rev.
