Walter S. “Wally” Jusko Jr. of Mayville, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, November 19, 2023 in his home. He was born on February 20, 1958 in Dunkirk, NY the son of the late Walter S. Jusko Sr. and Delphine (nee Kuczenski) Jusko. Wally graduated from Fredonia High School in 1976, where he was an accomplished athlete pitching for the baseball team and he also played basketball. At one time he tried out for the Baltimore Orioles. He continued playing baseball and softball for local adult leagues and was proud of the fact he played for over 4 decades. He worked in quality control for Cliffstar which became Refresco’s retiring in 2020 with 30 years of service. Wally enjoyed attending Classic Car Shows, hunting, loved to detail cars, and was a diehard Buffalo Bills, Sabres, and Baltimore Orioles Fan. Wally had a few favorite sayings one which was “ I want a Mopar in my driveway”, the other one was “ That car has two more doors than needed” When he retired he bought a 2009 Red Challenger which he put in his driveway. His memberships included the Brocton American Legion Post 434, and the Lone Wolf Car Club, Mayville, NY in which he was the only member, the Beaver Club in Fredonia and the Moniuszko Club in Dunkirk, NY. Wally is survived by mother Delphine Jusko of Fredonia, NY; his wife Monica (nee Bova) Jusko, his daughter, Amber (Michael) Johnson of Jamestown, NY; a brother Jerry (Colleen) Jusko of Brocton, NY; four sisters, Marcia (Ronald) Braccio of FL, Renee (Christopher) Bernhardt of Jamestown, NY, Michele (Terrell) Klimek of TX and Sharon (David) Lanski of Rochester, NY; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Further survived by his three canine companions, Hudson, Brownie and Maggie; also his “granddogs” Loki and Olive, whom he loved very much, and he called himself “Papa Yoki”. In addition to his father Walter Jusko Sr, Wally was preceded in death by his father and mother –in-law, Russell and Rosemary Bova. Friends may call at the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield, NY on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 11-1PM, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 1 PM. Burial will be private.
