Richard Andrew “Rick” Superdock, age 63 of Portland, NY passed away unexpectedly on Monday,

October 9, 2023 in Portland, NY.

Rick was born on February 5, 1960 in Goose Bay, Canada. The son of the late George and Barbara

Superdock. He married Cassandra J. “Cassie” (nee Hindman) on June 7, 1997 in Westfield, NY.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Cassie Superdock; four daughters, Amy McKenzie ,

Heather Superdock, Rikki Bowermaster and Shelby Superdock; two sons, Dalton and Dylan Griebel;

two brothers, William (Lenore) Superdock and Ray (Tiger) Chavez; a sister, Joy Grabau and his loving

and loyal dog Ruger. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert,

Leonard and a sister Mary Superdock.

Following high school, he was a Certified Air Compressor Mechanic and held a CDL license. He was a self-

taught auto mechanic and drag racer. Rick provided medical transport and drove truck for the Tampa

Tribune in Tampa, Fl. and also drove for Fancee Transportation in Falconer, NY. He loved to ride

motorcycles and was an avid fisherman. In his younger years, he raced and built race cars as well as

constructing his own home with his wife Cassie.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
