Obituary of Gregory M. Doty

Gregory M. Doty, 31, of Canton, Ohio formerly of Westfield, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Delray Beach, Fla.

He was born on December 17, 1991 in Springville, NY the son of Ronald L. Doty and Catherine J. (Kasprzyk) Doty.

Gregory graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School, “Class of 2010”, where he was an accomplished athlete in soccer, basketball, baseball and football. He continued his education at the Great Lakes institute of Technology, graduating in the Surgical Technologist Program. His medical career was started at the Warren General Hospital. He obtained his certification as a Certified First Assistant in cardiac OR. He worked at the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospital and Aultman Hospital and was currently working as a sales specialist and clinical support for Saphena Medical and Zimmer Biomet.

Gregory loved all things outdoors mountain biking, running, fishing and hunting only to be surpassed by his love for his two beloved daughters who meant the world to him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Whitney Weary of Madison, OH; his two daughters, Lillian and Ella Doty; his mother Catherine (Tim Dickson) Doty of Erie, Pa.; his father, Ron Doty of Lackawanna, NY; two brothers Eric (Laci Weary) Kasprzyk of Erie, Pa and Jeremy (Stephanie Tessmer) of Angola, NY; a sister, Andrea (Sam Start) Dietz of Springboro, NY: his maternal grandfather, Michael Kasprzyk of Holland, NY; also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death his maternal grandmother, Patricia Kasprzyk and his paternal grandparents, Ron and Maryann Doty.

Flowers are declined. Donations are gratefully accepted for Lillian and Ella Doty Trust.

Calling Hours are from 10:00 AM to 12 Noon on Saturday, Sept. 16th at Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield, NY. The Memorial Service will follow at Noon.
