MAYVILLE - Evelyn Grace (Anweiler) DeMambro, age 91, of Cass Street, Westfield, formerly of Mayville, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA. Evelyn was born on October 25, 1919 in Ida, Michigan, the daughter of the late Andy and Loretta (Phifer) Anweiler. A Chautauqua County resident since 1958, Evelyn moved to Mayville from Lincoln Park, Michigan. She loved to write poetry and enjoyed reading. She briefly worked in the former Chautauqua School cafeteria when her children were young. Evelyn had been a dedicated homemaker and her family was the love of her life. She is survived by her one daughter: Lisa L. Cook of Plant City, FL and her two sons: Philip Dennis "Denny" DeMambro of Sherman, NY, and Larry A. DeMambro of Deland, FL. She is further survived by her 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip B. DeMambro, whom she married in 1940 and who died on October 3, 2009. At Evelyn's request all funeral services will be private. Memorials may be made to The Children's Love Fund, PO BOX 91, Lakewood, NY, 14750.
