Obituary of Roger W. Scott

Please share a memory of Roger to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Roger W. Scott of Mayville, NY passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at age 80 following a prolonged illness.  Roger was born in Ripley, NY on March 25, 1942, to Virgil Scott and Francis (Neckers) Scott. The youngest of three boys, Roger retired from a thirty-one-year career with National Cash Register in 1994 and later became a school bus driver for Bemus Point School District. His love of outdoors was paramount in his life; an avid hunter and fisherman, he shared many great memories and adventures with family and friends, including cherished fellow snowbirds in Cedar Key, Florida.  He will be remembered as a loving father, friend, and teacher. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Gordon Scott and Lloyd Scott. He is survived by beloved companion Charlotte Durrance of Mayville, NY, children Mark (Sherrie) Scott of Newark, OH, Dan (Leah) Scott of Baldwinsville, NY, and Bryon (Colleen) Scott of East Aurora, NY with former wife Carol (Forsell) Scott.  Roger is also survived by his grandchildren, Kailah, Noah, Lauren, and Eric. A celebration of life will be announced at later time.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Ave., Westfield, NY. Please share condolences at www.masonfuneral.com.
