Obituary of Charlotte M Himes

Charlotte M. Himes, 83, of Westfield, NY passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, Pa.

She was born in Ripley, NY on March 18, 1939, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Virginia (Shreve) Alexander. On October 3, 1970 she married the love of her life Clyde A. Himes Jr. in Mayville, NY and he died on June 19, 2014.

Surviving are her five beloved daughters, Brennen and Terri Delcamp of Erie, Pa., Cindy (William) Hutchison of Indianapolis, IN., Susan (Bruce) Laurie of Fredonia and Sheryl (Calvin) Carlson of Westfield; ten cherished grandchildren, Christina (Clayton) Jaynes, Stephanie (Armando) Holguin, Danielle (Leo) Kell-Ochoa, Thomas Kell, Joshua (LeeAnn) Hutchison, Mitchell and Tyler (Shelby) , Scot (Jessica) Laurie, Jordan and Brooke Carlson; eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence “Tinker” (Mary Test) , Ronald, and Dennis “Butch” (Vicky) Alexander; a sister, Geraldine “Gerry” (late Carl) Marsh; a brother-in-law, Dennis Heilman.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, Clyde A. Himes Jr., two brothers, James “Rusty” and Michael Alexander and a sister, Patricia Heilman.

Charlotte loved her family she enjoyed cooking for them and everybody in the neighborhood, nobody went away hungry. She had an open door policy everybody was welcome and referred to her as mom or grandma they could come and go at anytime. She was a diehard NY Yankee and NASCAR fan she liked to crochet, making blankets for the each member of the family. Charlotte loved to watch Animal Planet on a regular basis, most of all she just wanted to be with her family.

Friends may call at the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 4-7 PM, where funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 11 AM. Committal will be held at the Westfield Cemetery.
