Brad and Julie,I just learned about Your Moms passing. She was a grand teacher and I always enjoyed her classes, especially the field trips. I used to see her in the store now and then and she always had a smile and a bright hello. I also remember the ice cream socials and all of our moms helping out and Flo was right there in the middle of it. Good memories.Sincerely,Jim

I have such fond memories of Florence as a great seventh grade teacher, and as a wonderful family friend for decades afterward. (If anyone needs to know the three staples of the Iroquois diet, I can instantly answer, 45 years later: "Corn, beans, and squash!")Florence, we'll miss you.Steve Ross

She was a tough as nails teacher, but fought for most of us to pass her classes. FloJo will be sadly missed. I used to dress in holey jeans and sweatshirts and she wanted me to be more like Julie, a lady lol. After finishing high school she became a friend, not just a teacher. And she never let me forget that I should dress more like Julie! Rest in peace FloJo and may you keep teaching in the sky of life!

Dear Julie and Brad,Your Mother will always be remembered fondly by the Horsch family. Our Mothers shared many years as life-long friends from college at Thiel through adulthood in Westfield. I will always remember your mother as a teacher of mine from Nursery School through High School. She was a supreme educator, an inspirational instructor and a firm disciplinarian! I’ll always have fond memories of her classes and of her as a person.I pray for your comfort during this time of loss and that you too will dwell on the many sweet memories of Flo baby!Tom Horsch

Julie,I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom was such an influence on so many students in Westfield. You were so supportive and patient with her and I know how much she appreciated it even if she was unable to express her feelings. Dear Jones family: I remember living up the street from you many many years ago and babysitting Brad and Julie. Later as an adult I was able to see the time and effort your Mom put into the Westfield community with her teaching and volunteering. My prayers go out to you, God Bless. Linda Riscili Thomas

Julie...Your little guardian angel Mary Leah shared with me that you had lost your Momma today. I will always remember Florence as one of the best teachers I had at WACS. She was a dynamic educator and always such a class act. Know that I wish you peace and comfort at this sad time. Sincerely...Muffi
