Chad A. Raeder, 42, of Brocton, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday December 4, 2021 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa.

He was born on April 25, 1979 in Erie, PA, the son of Frank and Patricia (O’Brien) Raeder.

Chad is survived by both of his parents, and a sister, Patsy Raeder of Erie, PA. He is also

survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Raeder.

Chad was a 1997 graduate of Ripley High School. He went on to continue his education at Tech

School where he studied computers and information technology. He was employed by ECR International in Dunkirk, NY.

Chad enjoyed camping, playing cards with friends, and attending the Blue Heron Festival in

Sherman, NY. He also liked going to “medieval times” events. One of his proudest accomplishments was becoming an Eagle Scout. The project to complete the requirements to earn the rank of Eagle Scout was to build a bridge and a walkway for the Ripley Rod & Gun Club.

Friends may call at the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield, NY on Monday, December

13, 2021 from 4 – 6 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at twelve o’clock.

 Rev. Don Eggleston will officiate. Interment will be in the Quincy Cemetery,

Ripley, NY.
