Obituary of Joseph M Grizanti

Joseph M. Grizanti, 90, of Westfield, NY passed away on Wednesday evening, September 29, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on March 21, 1931 in Westfield, NY the son of the late James and Jennie (Paternosh) Grizanti.

Joe graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1952. He worked for Conrail and CXS as a mechanic retiring with 42 years of service.

His memberships included the Westfield American Legion Post # 327, Westfield Moose Lodge and St Dominic RC Church in Westfield, where he was an active member and served as an usher.

Joe loved cars, he enjoyed working on them and was an expert mechanic, who could fix anything. He would help anybody in the neighborhood, when they needed it. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by a sister, Betty (late Nello) Fiorenzo of Erie, Pa; a sister-in-law, Patty Grizanti of Erie and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Samuel, Cosmo and Vincent Grizanti.

Friends may call at the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 10AM until the time of services at 12 PM (noon). Interment will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions in Joe’s memory to St Dominic’s RC Church, 15 Union St. Westfield, Ny 14787
