Westfield- Vincent J. LaFlamme, age 92, of South Portage St., Westfield died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center, in Erie, Pennsylvania, following a brief illness. Vincent was born on August 2, 1918 in Old Town, Maine, a son of the late William and Margaret (LeBlanc) LaFlamme. Mr. LaFlamme was a Captain in the US Army where he was an explorer and instructor at the US Army Indoctrination Center at Fort Greely, Alaska. Following his retirement from the US Army, he and his wife moved to Castine, Maine where he was self employed as an Art Dealer. Following the retirement of his wife, they moved to Westfield where he continued to deal in collectibles. He is survived by many Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Margaret (Keopka) LaFlamme, whom he married on December 12, 1956 in Fairbanks, Alaska and who died in December 9, 2003, and by several siblings. No calling hours will be observed. Funeral services and burial will be private. Memorials may be made to Patterson Library, 40 So.
