WESTFIELD - Janice Muriel Garrison, age 85, of Pleasant Avenue, Westfield died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA following a brief illness. Miss Garrison was born on June 9, 1921 in Silver Creek, NY the daughter of the late Isaac Mark and Haizelle (Mix) Garrison. A Westfield native, she was a graduate of Westfield Academy, completed her Master degree in Library Science and was a Kindergarten and First grade teacher in the Buffalo Public Schools system for 28 years. She returned to Westfield in the early 1990's and settled into retirement in the family homestead on Pleasant Street. She was a Member of the NYS Retired Teachers Acssoc., the Abigail Fillmore Chapter of the DAR, the General Society of Mayflower Descendants-Buffalo Chapter and the Central Park Methodist Church of Buffalo. She is survived by her sister Joyce Parke of Westfield. Funeral Services will be private with the Rev. Matt Golibersuch officiating. Burial will be in Quincy Rural Cemetery, Ripley, NY.
