Obituary of Jennie F. Ameno

Born in Sicily, Italy, she grew up in the Dunkirk area and moved to Westfield in 1948. She resided in Westfield on First Street for 49 years, moving to Fredonia in 1997 to be close to her daughter. Jennie had been employed by the former Dunkirk Silk Mill, the Safe Store and at the Kresge Store in Dunkirk. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church of Dunkikr and a former member of St. James Major Roman Catholic Church of Westfield where she was a life member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She had been and active member of the YWCA of Westfield. Jennie enjoyed knitting and crocheting, bingo, music and staying active; "she enjoyed life".
