Obituary of Florence Pauline Gelsie

RIPLEY, NY - Florence Pauline Gelsie known by her friends and family as Pene passed away Friday afternoon, March 12, 2010 at the Absolut Care in Westfield, NY. Pauline was born in Somerset, PA on January 6, 1931, the daughter of the late Albert and Pearl (Davis) Pizer. Pauline retired from Electric Material located in North East, PA. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed family picnics, holiday celebrations, and she also loved to crochet and read. For the past 8 years Pauline has resided with her daughter & son-in-law in Westfield, NY where she enjoyed going to the Adult Day Care held at the Y.W.C.A. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gelsie, Sr. who died on August 21, 1993, her two sons Albert Francis on November 13, 1964 and James Gelsie, Jr. on March 13, 1977, and her one daughter Mellissa JoAnn on April 3, 1969. She leaves behind 3 daughters: Susan Reed of Westfield, NY, Linda McFarlen of Tucson, AZ and Barbara Lookenhouse of South Ripley, NY. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
